痤瘡 Mild to moderate acne

Benzoyl peroxide exerts its antimicrobial action in the follicles and possesses bactericidal action against Propionbacterium acnes and Staphylococcus epidermidis. This activity is presumed due to release of active or free-radical oxygen capable of oxidizing bacterial proteins; resolution of acne coincides with reduction in Propionbacterium acnes and of free fatty acids on the surface of the skin.

1. Hypersensitivity to benzoyl peroxide
2. Avoid contact with eyelids, lips, mucous membranes, highly inflamed or denuded skin.
3. Avoid other sources of skin irritation during use (e.g., sunlight, sun lamp, or other topical acne medication)

Infant risk is minimal

Mild burning sensation will be felt on first application and a moderate redding and peeling of the skin will occur within a few days.
