Dynamic equinus foot deformity due to spasticity in paediatric cerebral palsy patients, two years of age or older; Spasticity of the arm in adult patients following a stroke; Blepharospasm in adults;  Hemifacial spasm in adults; Spasmodic torticollis in adults; Treatment of moderate to severe glabellar lines; Axillary hyperhydrosis in adults; Overactive urinary bladder (Refractory to or intolerant of anticholinergic medication) ; Prophylaxis of headaches in adult patients with chronic migraine (at least 15 days per month with headache lasting 4 hours a day or longer)

Clostridium botulinum toxin cause neuromuscular blockade by inhibiting the calcium-ion mediated release of acetylcholine at the motor nerve terminals, resulting in a diminished endplate potential and subsequent flaccid paralysis of the affected muscles. The paralysis persists until new nerve terminals form, usually within 2 to 4 months.

The duration of action, measured by changes of ocular alignment and muscle paralysis varied between 2 weeks and 8 months.

Itching, generalized weakness, fatigue, flu-like syndrome and pain/bruising at injection site, dysphagia, diarrhoea, muscle weakness, urinary incontinence, ptosis, diplopia, dry eyes, tearing, eyelid oedema, headache, compensatory sweating…etc. 

Adult spasticity of the arm post-stroke: 1000 units distributed among the following five muscles: flexor digitorum profundus(FDP) 150 units, flexor digitorum sperficialis(FDS) 150-250 units, flexor carpi ulnaris(FCU) 150 units, flexor carpi radialis(FCR) 150 units and biceps brachii(BB) 300-400 units.
Paediatric cerebral palsy spasticity: initial dose, 20 units/kg body weight given as a divided dose between both calf muscles. If only one calf is affected, a dose of 10 units/kg bodyweight should be used. MAX dose: 1000 nits/patient.
Spasmodic torticollis: initial dose, 500 units per patient given as a divided dose and administered to the two or three most active neck muscles.
Blepharospasm and hemifacial spasm: initial dose, 120 units per eye. In cases of unilateral blepharospasm the injections should be confined to affected eye. Patients with hemifacial spasm should be treated as for unilateral belpharospasm.
Axillary hyperhidrosis: initial dose, 100 units per axilla. If the desired effect is not attained, up to 200 units per axilla can be administered for subsequent injections.
Moderate to severe glabellar lines: 50 units of disport to be divided into 5 injection sites. 

After reconstitution with sterile normal saline without preservative, the solution should be stored in 2-8 ℃ and administered within 4 hours.
