Adjunct in the treatment of inflammatory & edema associated with trauma or surgery.

Broen-C is consisted of bromelain 20,000 Unit and L-Cysteine 20mg. Bromelains are a concentrate of proteolytic enzymes derived from the pineapple plant. They are used as an adjunct in the treatment of soft-tissue inflammation and oedema associated with trauma and surgery. Bromelains have also been given as an aid to digestion, and used in the treatment of partial deep dermal and full thickness burns.

Bromelain is absorbed intact through the GI tract. Cmax:1 hr; Elimination half-life: 6-9 hrs.
