Reduction of intraocular pressure (IOP) in patients with chronic open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension who are insufficiently responsive to topical beta-blockers.

Combigan eye drops contains brimonidine tartrate and timolol maleate. Brimonidine, a selective alpha-2 adrenergic receptor agonist, works in combination with timolol maleate, a non-selective beta-adrenergic receptor inhibitor, to reduce intraocular pressure.

Brimonidine and timolol have a rapid onset of action, with peak ocular hypotensive effect observed at 2 hours after ophthalmic application of brimonidine and 1 to 2 hours post timolol dose

second- or third-degree atrioventricular block; sinus bradycardia; current or history of bronchial asthma; overt cardiac failure; severe COPD; hypersensitivity to brimonidine tartrate, timolol maleate, or any other component of the product

Most common adverse reactions included allergic conjunctivitis, acute follicular conjunctivitis, conjunctival hyperemia, eye pruritus, ocular burning, and stinging.

Instill one drop in the affected eye(s) twice daily, approximately 12 hours apart.
