高血壓 (ARB) Use as monotherapy or combination therapy with a diuretic in mild to moderate hypertension

Losartan may be a valuable alternative for hypertensive patients unresponsive to or intolerant of angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitors, particularly those patients with headache, cough, or excessive hypotension.

The drug is metabolized to an active metabolite, which accounts for the long duration of antihypertensive effects (up to 24 hours). The elimination half-life of losartan is about 2 hours, whereas a half-life of 4 to 5 hours has been reported for its metabolite E-3174.

Hypersensitivity to losartan or other angiotensin receptor antagonists.

C during the first trimester and D during the second and third trimesters

Infant risk can not be ruled out.

Adults: 25-100 mg PO QD-BID
