Common adverse effects include hypertension (13%), atrophic condition of skin, Cushing's syndrome, decreased body growth, at risk for infection, Abnormal vision (9% ), depression, euphoria, cardiomyopathy, hyperglycemia, osteoporosis.

Allergic condition: Adults: 0.75-9 mg/day PO depending on disease being treated and patient response; Pediatrics: 0.02 to 0.3 mg/kg/day (0.6 to 9 mg/m(2)/day) PO in 3 or 4 divided doses
