Cevimeline is a cholinergic agonist which binds to muscarinic receptors. It can increase secretion of exocrine glands, such as salivary and sweat gland.

Time to peak concentration: 1.5 to 2 hrs; <20% bound to human plasma protein; isozymes CYP2D6 and CYP3A3/4 are responsible for the metabolism of cevimeline; excreted in urine as metabolites and unchanged drug; Elimination half-life: 5 hrs.

Excessive sweating (most common), nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, excessive salivation, hot flush, rhinitis, sinusitis, cough, bronchitis, Upper respiratory infection, urinary frequency, and asthenia.

Oral: 30mg 3 times a day. Take with or without food.
