Cephalosporins類抗生素

For the treatment of a variety of bacterial infections, including respiratory tract infections, soft tissue infections, urinary tract infections, gynecologic infections; caused by Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus species, Peptostreptococcus species, Branhamella catarrhalis, Klebsiella species, Proteus species, Bacteroides species.

Flomoxef is a broad-spectrum oxacephem (oxacephalosporin) antibiotic with a similar vitro spectrum of activity to those of cefamandole and moxalactam. It is ineffective against Pseudomonas spp. In addition, flomoxef may be an attractive alternative to other beta-lactam antibiotics because of its relative lack of influence on coagulation parameters and platelet function compared to some similar agents.

Flomoxef distributes well into soft tissues, middle ear tissues, sputum, and cerebrospinal fluid; it is primarily eliminated via the kidney (85%- 87%)

Hypersensitivity to flomoxef and other beta-lactam antibiotics

Laboratory abnormality (eosinophilia, thrombocytosis, reductions in erythrocyte count, hemoglobin, hematocrit, leukocyte count and elevation in serum hepatic transaminases), loose stools, stomatitis, numbness of the tongue, rash and urticaria

1-2 g/day IV divided into 2 times

Neonatal: 20 to 30 mg/kg IV 2 or 3 times daily
Children: 60-80 mg/kg/day divided inot 3-4 times a day

1. CrCl 50-80 mL/min: 3 gm/day in divided doses
2. CrCl 25-50 mL/min: 2 gm/day
3. CrCl 5-25 mL/min: 1 gm/day
4. CrCl <5 mL/min: 0.5 gm/day
