Foster is a fixed combination of beclomethasone dipropionate(BDP)/formoterol fumarate, which is an extrafine pressurized metered dose inhaler (pMDI), characterized by a small particle size and high particle deposition in the lower airways.
1. BDP is a corticosteroid with mainly glucocorticoid activity, largely attributable to its active metabolite beclomethasone-17-monopropionate (B-17-MP).
2. Formoterol is a long-acting beta2-agonist with bronchodilation effect, and has a faster onset of action than sameterol.

Mean time to Cmax: 0.25 hrs (B-17-MP and formoterol)
Elimination half-life: (BDP) 0.5hrs; (B-17-MP) 3 hrs

Known hypersensitivity to beclometasone dipropionate, formoterol fumarate dihydrate and/or any of the excipients.

Beclomethasone: Fetal risk can not be no be ruled out
Formoterol: C

Beclomethasone: Infant risk is minimal.
Formoterol: Infant risk can not be ruled out.

Headache, dysphonia, pharyngitis

(For adult only) One or two inhalations twice daily; Max 8 puffs per day
