Loratadine is a long-acting tricyclic antihistamine with selective peripheral histamine H(1) receptor antagonistic activity. Pseudoephedrine sulfate is a decongestant that is an indirect, orally active sympathomimetic amine acting on the nasal mucosa

hypersensitivity or idiosyncratic responses to adrenergic agents or similar drugs
hypersensitivity to loratadine or pseudoephedrine
MAOI use within 14 days
narrow-angle glaucoma
severe coronary artery disease
severe hypertension
urinary retention

Infant risk is minimal.

Gastrointestinal: Xerostomia (8% to 14% )
Neurologic: Insomnia (5% to 16% ), Somnolence (6% to 7% )
Psychiatric: Feeling nervous (3% to 5% )
Respiratory: Pharyngitis (3% to 5% )

(loratadine 5 mg/pseudoephedrine sulfate 120 mg) 1 tablet ORALLY every 12 h

safety and efficacy not established in children less than age 12

GFR less than 30 mL/min: 5/120 mg, 1 tablet daily

use of loratadine/pseudoephedrine should be avoided

should be stored between 2 and 25 degrees Celsius or 36 to 77 degrees Fahrenheit. The unit-of-use packaging and unit dose-hospital pack should be kept in a dry place
