氣喘或慢性阻塞性肺病 Procaterol is indicated primarily in the treatment of asthma.

Procaterol appears to be at least as effective as albuterol, similar in efficacy to metaproterenol, and less effective than terbutaline.

Hypersensitivity to procaterol.

The safe use of Meptin has not been established in human pregnancy. The use of the drug in pregnancy or women of childbearing potential requires that the expected therapeutic benefit of the drug be weighed against its possible hazards to the mother or child.

Side effects include: nervousness, tremor and headache; EKG changes, tachycardia and ventricular arrhythmias have also been reported.

Adult: 50-100ug PO BID.
Children: >6 years old, 25ug PO QN or BID; <6 years old, 10-15ug PO QD.
