Mosapride citrate is a selective serotonin receptor agonist. It stimulates 5-HT4 receptors in the gastrointestinal nerve plexus, which increases the releases of acetylcholine, resulting in enhancement of gastrointestinal motility and gastric emptying.

Adults: 5 mg three times daily before or after meals. Dose adjustments for elderly patients: 2.5 mg three times daily.
