Nystatin is an effective antifungal agent for the topical treatment of Candida albicans infections. Gramicidin is a polypeptide antibiotic with activity against gram-positive organisms; it is used only for topical therapy, usually in combination with other antimicrobial agents. Neomycin is an effective aminoglycoside being active against many of the gram-negative organisms. Topical triamcinolone is used to relieve inflammatory and pruritic manifestations of corticosteroid-responsive dermatoses.

Relief of symptomatic candidiasis from topical use occurs within 24 to 72 hours.

This preparation should not be used in patient with skin tuberculosis, acute phase of herpes simplex, chicken pox, small pox. It also could not be used around orbita area or patient has known hypersensitivity to any component of this preparation.

For nystatin the adverse effects include skin irritation, and cutaneous reactions. The adverse effect of topical use neomycin is contact dermatitis.
