高血壓 (diuretics) Treatment of edema due to heart failure or renal diseases, including the nephrotic syndrome and states of diminished renal function

The only apparent advantage over other thiazides is its usefulness in patients with a decreased glomerular filtration rate.

Thiazide diuretics are contraindicated in patients with anuria, hypersensitivity to other thiazide diuretics, or sulfonamides and in use in pregnant women.

B/D in conflict

Intense diuresis with thiazides and thiazide-like diuretics, fluid restriction and breast binding have been used to suppress postpartum lactation.

Anemia, orthostatic hypotension, hypokalemia, hyperuricemia, and hyponatremia.

Initial oral dose 0.5 mg/day, increase to 1 mg/day

0.2-0.4 mg/kg/day; Safety and efficacy have not been established in pediatric patients and manufacturer is not recommended its use in children
