Elimination of the intestinal contents during pre-treatment for colonoscopy and large bowel operation.

Niflec is an oral intestinal cleaning agent. Each pack (137.155 gm) contains sodium chloride (2.93g), potassium chloride (1.485g), sodium bicarbonate (3.37g), anhydrous sodium sulfate (11.37g) and polyethylene glycol 4000 (118g), when dissolved in 2 liter water to form an isotonic solution(about 293 mosm).

Complete the administering solution of Niflec in 2 hours, then a definite intestinal lavage effect will be obtained in about 4 hours.

Patient with toxic megacolon, bowel obstruction, or bowel perforation; and should be careful in patients with angina pectoris, old myocardial infarction, or impaired renal function.

abdominal discomfort, anaphylatoid symptoms, intestinal perforation and hyponatraemia.

Dissolve one pack of Niflec powder in water to make about 2L solution. Usually, orally administer 2 L of the dissolved solution at a rate of about 1L/hour, until the stool excretion became a clear liquid. Start administration at about six hours prior to the procedure.
