成人和兒童(包含足月新生兒)的流行性感冒之治療; 成人和1歲或以上兒童的流行性感冒之預防。

Antiviral Agent; Neuraminidase Inhibitor

Absorption: Well absorbed.
Distribution: Oseltamivir carboxylate: Adults: 23 to 26 L; may be significantly increased in patients receiving ECMO.
Protein binding, plasma: Oseltamivir carboxylate: 3%; Oseltamivir: 42%.
Metabolism: Hepatic to oseltamivir carboxylate.
Bioavailability: 75% as oseltamivir carboxylate.
Half-life elimination: Adults: Oseltamivir: 1 to 3 hours; Oseltamivir carboxylate: 6 to 10 hours.
Excretion: Urine (>99% as oseltamivir carboxylate); feces (<20%).

Hypersensitivity to oseltamivir or any component of the formulation.

Oseltamivir and oseltamivir carboxylate are present in breast milk.

Adverse Reactions (Significant):
1. GI effects: nausea and vomiting.
2. Neuropsychiatric effects: confusion, delirium, hallucination, headache, pain.

Influenza, seasonal, prophylaxis: 75 mg once daily for 10 days.
Influenza, seasonal, treatment: 75 mg twice daily for 5 days. Treatment can be considered only if it can be initiated ≤48 hours following illness onset.
Influenza A, avian, postexposure prophylaxis (off-label use) : 75 mg twice daily for 5 to 10 days.
Influenza A, avian, treatment (off-label use) : 75 mg twice daily for 5 to 10 days.

Influenza, treatment (Children and Adolescents):
Infants <1 year: 3 mg/kg/dose twice daily.
Children and Adolescents:
≤ 15 kg: 30 mg twice daily.
>15 to 23 kg: 45 mg twice daily.
>23 to 40 kg: 60 mg twice daily.
>40 kg: 75 mg twice daily.

Influenza, prophylaxis:
Infants 3 to 8 months: 3 mg/kg/dose once daily.
Infants ≥9 months: 3.5 mg/kg/dose once daily; some experts still recommend 3 mg/kg/dose once daily.
Children and Adolescents:
≤15 kg: 30 mg once daily.
>15 kg to 23 kg: 45 mg once daily.
>23 kg to 40 kg: 60 mg once daily.
>40 kg: 75 mg once daily.

Influenza, seasonal, prophylaxis:
CrCl >30 to <60 mL/minute: 30 mg once daily.
CrCl >10 to 30 mL/minute: 30 mg every other day.
CrCl ≤10 mL/minute: 30 mg once weekly.
Influenza, seasonal, treatment:
CrCl >30 to <60 mL/minute: 30 mg twice daily for 5 days.
CrCl >10 to 30 mL/minute: 30 mg once daily for 5 days.

Mild-to-moderate impairment: No dosage adjustment necessary.
