氣喘 Asthma

Salmeterol: selective long-actingβ2 agonist
Salmeterol offer effective protection against histamine-induced broncho-constriction and produce a longer duration of broncho-dilation, lasting for at least 12 hours.
Fluticasone propionate: Inhalant Corticosteroid
Fluticasone propionate has a potent glucocorticoid anti-inflammatory action within the lung, resulting in reduced symptom and exacerbations of asthma.

1. Hypersensitivity to fluticasone, salmeterol, or any component of the formulation
2. Status asthmaticus; acute episodes of asthma

Fluticasone: excretion in breast milk unknown
Salmeterol: enters breast milk; use caution

Upper respiratory tract infection, headache, serum glucose increased, serum potassium decreased, hoarseness/dysphonia, oral candidiasis

Adults and adolescent (>12 years ): two puffs twice a day.

Children (4-11 years): two puffs twice a day
Seretide is not recommended for use in children below 4 years of age.
