Topical: Bactericidal for many gram-positive and gram-negative organisms. Mechanism of action differs from that of silver nitrate or sodium sulfADIAZINE. Acts only on the cell membrane and cell wall.
Also active against yeasts and Candida albicans (M. albicans).

hypersensitivity to silver sulfADIAZINE or any component of the product
pregnancy (approaching or at term); sulfonamides may cause kernicterus
preterm infants or newborns 2 months of age or younger

Serious:
Dermatologic: Erythema multiforme, Erythroderma, Mycosis, Skin necrosis, Stevens-Johnson syndrome, Toxic epidermal necrolysis
Hematologic: Agranulocytosis, Aplastic anemia, Hemolytic anemia
Hepatic: Hepatic necrosis, Hepatitis
Immunologic: Hypersensitivity reaction
Renal: Interstitial nephritis, Nephrotoxicity

TOPICAL, apply 1% cream in 1/16-inch layer once or twice daily until healing or skin grafting.
