As an intravenous replenishment solution for preoperative, postoperative or NPO patient

TAITA NO.5 contains sodium 36 mEq/L, potassium 18 mEq/L, magnesium 3 mEq/L, chloride 17 mEq/L, acetate 28 mEq/L, phosphate 12 mmole/L and glucose 100 gm/L. Osmolality: 669 mOsm/L. PH: 5-6

Hyperkalemia, hyperphosphatemia, end stage renal disease

when large volume was administered rapidly, may cause brain, pulmonary or peripheral edema

Adults: 400~1200 ml/day; Children (< 2 y/o): 100 ml/kg, Children (> 2 y/o): 50~90 ml/kg, administered intravenously at a rate of 50-100 ml/hr

when 40 ml of 10% calcium gluconate inj added into a bottle of TAITA NO.5 solution, may stable for 24hrs, no precipitation occurred (from manufacture’s data).
