Tetanus; Prophylaxis

The human body produces antibodies through vaccination, resulting in active immunity against tetanus and protection.

Hypersensitivity to the tetanus toxoid vaccine or any of its components.

Local redness, edema and nodule formation. Systemic reactions may include low-grade fever, chills, malaise, and generalized aches and pains.

Adult primary immunization: 2 doses of 0.5ml IM separated by 4 to 8 weeks and a third dose 6 to 12 months after the second dose;booster doses should be administered every 5 or 10 years following primary immunization.

Tetanus; Prophylaxis(7 years and older) : 0.5 mL IM x 3 doses given at 0 and 4-8 weeks, and at 6-12 months after second dose; booster dose every 10 years.
