There are no data on the excretion of triamcinolone into human milk. However, other glucocorticoids are excreted into human milk in low concentrations. The manufacturer recommends that caution be used when administering triamcinolone to nursing women.

For adults and children over 12 years old, the initial dose is 2 metered sprays (55 mcg/spray) in each nostril once a day (220 mcg/day); maintenance, 1 metered spray in each nostril once a day (110 mcg/day). For children 6 to 12 years old, the initial dosage is 110 mcg once daily, 1 spray in each nostril. Age under 6 yr, dosage not established.
