Telmisartan (an angiotensin II receptor blocker)/amlodipine besylate (a dihydropyridine calcium antagonist) combination is indicated for the treatment of hypertension alone or with other antihypertensive drugs in adults.

in patients with known hypersensitivity (e.g., anaphylaxis or angioedema) to telmisartan, amlodipine, or any other component of this product.

D; when pregnancy is detected, discontinue telmisartan/amlodipine as soon as possible. Drugs that act directly on the renin-angiotensin system can cause injury and death to the developing fetus.

Initial, telmisartan 40 mg/amlodipine 5 mg ORALLY once a day; OR larger initial blood pressure reductions, telmisartan 80 mg/amlodipine 5 mg ORALLY once a day
