Iloprost is a synthetic analogue of prostacyclin PGI(2) that dilates systemic and pulmonary arteries.

Common: vasodilation, flushing, trimus, headache, cough increased. Serious: bronchospasm, hypotension, pulmonary edema.

initial, 2.5 mcg INHALED using the I-neb(TM) ADD(R) System or the Prodose(R) AAD(R) System; if tolerated, increase dose to 5 mcg INHALED 6 to 9 times per day (dosing interval ≧ 2 hours) during waking hours; MAX daily dose was 45 mcg (5 mcg 9 times per day). Avoid contact with skin or eyes; do not ingest orally.
