Sertaconazole is an imidazole antifungal agent, inhibiting the synthesis of ergosterol, an essential component of fungal cell walls, resulting in disruption of mycelial growth and replication. Its activity spectrum includes the pathogenic yeasts (Candida albicans, C. tropicalis, C. spp. Pityrosporum orbiculare) and other causing and accompanying agents in skin and mucous membranes infections like the gram-positive germs (Staphylococcus and Streptococcus).

Absorption: minimal .

Sensitivity to sertaconazole nitrate or other imidazoles.

Excretion in breast milk unknown/use caution.

Burning, contact dermatitis, dry skin, tenderness

For external use only. Apply to affected area twice-daily for four weeks.
