治療腹瀉 Symptomatic treatment of irritable bowel syndrome in adults and gastroesophageal reflux in infants due to mucoprotective effects, treatment of acute and chronic diarrhea.

SMECTA is a double aluminum and magnesium silicate. Due to its structure in leaves and its high plastic viscosity, has a significant digestive mucous covering capacity.

Dioctahedral smectite is not absorbed. It is eliminated through feces. (SMECTA is neither absorbed nor metabolized.)

Hypersensitivity to diosmectite or to one of the excipients. Due to the presence of glucose and saccharose, this medication is contraindicated for patients who are fructose intolerant.

Not recommended for pregnant women.

Conspitation has been reported. Other adverse effects are rare.

Adults: 1 sachet PO TID; 1 sachet can be mixed with 50ml of water; Children: under the age 1 y/o：1 sachet per day; 1-2 y/o： 1-2 sachets per day; over 2 y/o：3 sachets per day
