適應症
Relief of acute mild diarrhea in adults and children 3 years of age. Oral or intravenous rehydration should be provided as clinically indicated.
藥理
A nonpathogenic live yeast probiotic that acts as temporary intestinal flora. It helps restore normal gastrointestinal microflora, suppresses the growth and pathogenic effects of enteric pathogens, and may modulate intestinal immune responses through cytokine-mediated mechanisms.
藥動學
Saccharomyces boulardii is not systemically absorbed; therefore, conventional absorption, distribution, metabolism, and elimination parameters are not applicable. Viable organisms act locally within the gastrointestinal tract and are subsequently eliminated in feces.
禁忌症
Hypersensitivity to Saccharomyces boulardii, yeast, or any component of the formulation.
Contraindicated in patients with a central venous catheter and should not be used in critically ill, severely immunocompromised, or hospitalized patients at increased risk of invasive fungal infection.

Adults: 250 to 500 mg (1 to 2 capsules or sachets) orally twice daily; duration of therapy: Less than 1 week.
May be administered with or without food. Swallow capsules with water; the contents may be mixed with semisolid food or a suitable liquid and administered immediately. Do not mix with carbonated, alcoholic, iced, or very hot foods or beverages (>50°C).
