治療貧血鐵劑 Treatment of latent iron deficiency and iron deficiency anemia. Prophylactic therapy of iron deficiency during pregnancy.

Iron overload (e.g. haemochromatosis, hemosiderosis) or disturbances in iron utilization (e.g. lead anaemia, sideroachrestic anaemia, thalassaemia), anaemia not caused by iron deficiency (e.g. haemolytic anaemia).

There is no evidence of a risk during first trimester and a negative influence on the fetus is unlikely.

Infant risk can not be ruled out.

Constipation, diarrhea, nausea, abdominal pain, gastric disorders, indigestion, vomiting, rash.

PO 1 chewable tab 1-3times daily. Dosage and duration of therapy are dependent upon the extent of iron deficiency.
