適應症
Active immunization against disease caused by hepatitis A virus (HAV) in individuals 12 months of age and older. Primary immunization should be administered at least 2 weeks before expected exposure to HAV.
藥理
HAVRIX is an inactivated hepatitis A virus vaccine that induces active immunity by stimulating the production of antibodies against HAV. Anti-HAV antibodies confer protection against hepatitis A infection.
藥動學
Onset of action :
Protective antibodies develop in 91% to 99.7% of adults after the first dose and in 95.3% to 100% of adults after the second dose of the vaccine.
≥ 97% of children and adolescents will be seropositive within 1 month of the first dose and 100% will develop protective antibodies after receiving two doses.
The efficacy of preventing hepatitis A disease in children living in highly infected areas is 94% to 100%.

Protective antibodies induced by the vaccine have been observed to persist for 20 years in the majority of adults and for 15 years in patients whose vaccination series began at 6 to 21 months of age.
Duration of seroprotection may be decreased in patients vaccinated at 12 or 15 months whose mothers were positive for HAV antibodies.

禁忌症
Severe allergic reaction (e.g., anaphylaxis) after a previous dose of any hepatitis A-containing vaccine or to any component of HAVRIX, including neomycin.
懷孕分類
Available human data do not suggest an increased risk of major birth defects or miscarriage following HAVRIX exposure during pregnancy.
哺乳分類
There are no data regarding the presence of HAVRIX in human milk or its effects on the breastfed infant or milk production. The benefits of breastfeeding should be considered along with the mother's clinical need for vaccination.
副作用
Common :
injection-site soreness/pain, headache, fatigue, fever, injection-site redness/swelling, malaise, nausea, and anorexia.
Pediatric patients :
irritability, drowsiness, and decreased appetite may occur.
Serious :
anaphylaxis and other hypersensitivity reactions; syncope may occur following vaccination.

劑量和給藥方法
IM injection. Do not inject into the gluteal region.
12 months–18 years : 0.5 mL initially, followed by 0.5 mL booster dose 6–12 months later.
≥ 19 years : 1 mL initially, followed by 1 mL booster dose 6–12 months later.

No dosage adjustment required. Patients with chronic liver disease may have a lower antibody response to HAVRIX.
安定性
Store at 2–8°C in the original packaging and protect from light. Do not freeze. Discard if frozen. Do not dilute.
